From Dunedin, New Zealand to Camp Kintail

Hey everyone! I’m Sophia, a 20-year-old photographer from Dunedin, New Zealand. Ever since  I was seven years old, I’ve had a passion for photography. It all started when I won my first  pocket camera at a lucky tombola event – from then I was hooked. Now, after completing my  degree in Politics and History at the University of Otago, I’m traveling and photographing as  much as possible!

Last year, I was lucky enough to study abroad for a semester at the University of British  Columbia in Vancouver, which was a truly incredible experience. Being in Canada opened my  eyes to the beauty of this country which is why I find myself here a year later. The experience  has been really great and has contributed significantly to my portfolio. There’s so much life and  energy here and every day is different.

Here are my top three spots to shoot around camp:

1. High Challenge: The determination and excitement on campers' faces as they tackle the  course are priceless.

2. Beach: There’s nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of the beach!

3. Slide and Slingshot: These are just pure fun! The laughter and joy make for some  awesome, candid shots.

When I’m not working or snapping photos, you’ll find me hiking, skiing, or just wandering  around with my camera, finding new things to capture. The landscapes in New Zealand are  breathtaking and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph some incredible scenes.

Here are a few of my favourite photos I’ve taken:

I’m really enjoying my travels so far and can’t wait to see where my camera takes me next!
